A board is a hygiene zone. There they cut what we eat. For this reason it should always be sterile.
However, this becomes more and more difficult with increasing use. Food residues and germs keep getting stuck in the (more and more) cuts. This then leads to discoloration, odors and germ transmission. In the end, the only choice is to throw it away (which is a shame when the board cost a little more) or remove the signs of use.
Hardly anyone has a planing machine at home or constantly wants to beg from the carpenter for one. That being said, they don't like working on plastic that much.
That's why Schneidbrettguru developed the hygiene scraper so that cutting board hygiene can be implemented by almost everyone.
