GÜDE
Manufacturing forged knives by hand in up to 55 work steps is the passion of the family company GÜDE, now in its fourth generation. In the Solingen manufactory, every knife becomes a handmade one-off.
Alpha Pear
The Alpha Pear Series knives begin as a single piece of specially alloyed Chrome-Vanadium-Moly cutlery steel. Each knife is hand forged and continues through more than thirty steps in the production process. The handle scales are made of finely structured, velvety pear wood.
Franz & Karl Güde
Franz Güde series Named after the inventor of the "Güde serrated edge", a serrated edge with pointed teeth.
This series is named directly after Güde's founding patriarch, Karl Güde. These blades are forged from specially alloyed cutlery steel and feature plum wood grip.
The Knife & Synchros
SYNCHROS series has won many awards and test prizes - an innovation of the knife manufacturer GÜDE. The Knife - Everything about this knife is really different. The series received the oldest, most prestigious and globally recognized award for excellent design.
Alpha
Hand-forged blade made from one piece of chrome-vanadium-molybdenum knife steel. Further processing in over 30 manual operations. The finely polished handle is made of robust and easy-care Hostaform. The knives of this series have the largest variety of models.
Alpha Olive
The handle scales of the series Alpha Olive are made of selected olive wood that is up to 500 years old. The wood of the olive is very hard and weatherproof. This makes it the ideal material for knife handles. The strong grain olive wood make each knife an elegant one-of-a-kind.
Kappa
The knives in the Kappa series are hand-forged from a single piece of Chrome-Vanadium-Molybdenum knife steel and are then finished in over 30 manual operations. They offer a unique weight distribution and balance due to the full metal design. Each knife is fully stainless and ice hardened.
GÜDE – SINCE 1910
Foundation of the manufactory by Karl Güde...at a time when more than 9,000 - mostly small - hand workshops were producing cutlery in Solingen and establishing the worldwide reputation of Solingen knives. From the very beginning, Güde knives were drop-forged from one piece of steel, ground by hand, fitted with handles and honed by hand - so they have always been among the highest quality Solingen products.
