The Kilner fermenting accessories are specially designed for use with Kilner preserving jars. The silicone valve built into the fermentation lid releases the gas that accumulates in the jar during fermentation but does not allow air to enter.The jar weights are designed to weigh down the food in the jar and keep it below the water level to prevent the food from drying out. Perfect for creating smaller batches of live cultures such as sauerkraut, kimchi and pickles.
