The tried and tested stainless Opinel folding knife No. 07 offers a leather cord as a special extra for attaching to a key ring or snap hook. The handle is made of beech wood, which is protected from moisture by a special coating. With the unique Virobloc system, with which the blade made from Sandvik 12C27 stainless steel can be locked in place at lightning speed. The safety ring secures the blade in the open and closed position. This prevents this pocket knife from being opened unintentionally in your trouser pocket.

Safety Ring
The Virobloc safety ring was invented by Marcel Opinel in 1955. It is present on all folding knives from model No. 06 onward. The Virobloc is made of stainless steel and consists of two parts: a fixed part and a sliding part. In addition to locking the blade in the open position (for safe use), it also allows the blade to be locked when closed (for safe transport).
