This Opinel No. 07 pocket knife was designed by Joseph Opinel around 130 years ago and is considered a true symbol of the brand. The 7.7 cm long blade made of stainless Sandvik 12C27 steel offers excellent cutting performance and high corrosion resistance. The handle, made from a single piece of lacquered beechwood, sits comfortably and securely in the hand and is optimally protected against moisture. Thanks to the proven Virobloc system, the blade can be safely locked in both the open and closed positions – ideal for camping, picnics or everyday use.

Safety ring
The Virobloc safety ring was invented in 1955 by Marcel Opinel. It is featured on all folding knives from model No. 06 onwards. The Virobloc is cut from stainless steel and consists of two sections: one fixed and one sliding. In addition to locking the blade in the open position (for safe use), it also allows the blade to be locked in the closed position (for safe transport).
