Before First Use

• Enjoy your new purchase – remove all labels and packaging.
• Wash in warm, soapy water before use, rinse, and dry thoroughly.
• For the first use: fill the kettle with clean water, bring to a boil, then discard the water.

Cooking

• When using on an induction hob, do not use the “boost” function – it is only intended for heating large amounts of water.
• Always lift the kettle rather than sliding it across the hob to avoid scratches or surface damage.
• Place the hot kettle on a heat-resistant surface.

Cleaning

• Hand wash after each use with mild detergent – do not use abrasive cleaners or rough sponges.
• Do not leave water standing in the kettle when not in use.
• To descale: fill up to the maximum mark with a 50/50 mixture of water and white vinegar, simmer for 20 minutes. Use a gentle descaler if needed.
• Dry thoroughly after washing and store in a dry place.

Use

• Always use the correct hob ring size to avoid overheating or damage.
• On induction hobs, do not rely solely on the automatic switch-off – in case of malfunction, overheating may occur.
• Always point the spout and lid openings away from yourself and others.
• Do not allow the kettle to boil dry – remove it from heat as soon as the water boils.
• After boiling, wait 10–15 seconds before pouring. Never turn the kettle upside down, and make sure the lid knob is firmly pressed down.
• Allow the kettle to cool completely before refilling with cold water.
